Elizabeth is a translation of the
letters in a hand-lettered title page in a book printed at the turn of the twentieth century about the buildings at Cambridge University. Obviously, a single title page does not include all the letters in the
alphabet, so Beatty had to design all those without specimens.
Elizabeth is a small-caps font with the small caps floating up to the tops of the caps rather than
resting on the baseline.
Elizabeth Open is an all-caps font with the letters accessed as caps having added decorative diamond
forms to separate them from the letters accessed as lowercase which are without the decorations.
