The Los Angeles Editors & Writer’s Group wanted a web presence to promote
their members. Because to them a word is worth a thousand pictures, I purposely designed a site that was clean, simple, and said “editing” (the traditional red pencil), and writing (the fountain pen). These images frame the page without intruding on them. I believe that graphics need to support the message you’re trying to get across, otherwise they are merely distractions.
