This is where I'll cover timely topics--and computer and design
topics that affect you. There'll be a new column every other week,
so bookmark this site and visit it regularly.
An article in one of the best design magazines around recently
quoted a designer as saying that she had to "take the random
'creativity' from the museum's printed efforts." The idea
that designers should be stifling the creativity of others,
rather than inspiring it is sad--and spreading.
Are you using the software that's best for you? Are you using
your software as well as it can be used? Those two questions have
been nagging at me to the point where I couldn't stop my fingers
from finding a keyboard and pounding out a few hundred words on
the subject. My intent is not to offend my colleagues or
readers, it's to help you do a better job.
