Floaty pen!
You know the kind from your childhood--you tilt and the thing inside (in this case, the walking-man logo I designed for Bruce Eckel’s website (which I also designed).
This proved to be an incredibly popular giveaway item--and one that people keep and use, so his company is remembered for years based on a single item.
