The Alaska Federation of Natives is the largest statewide Native organization in Alaska. Its mission of AFN is to enhance and promote the cultural, economic and political voice of the entire Alaska Native community.

Because the Federation is an important, modern organization, the site design had to create a balance between native and corporate. I took cues from native colors and materials, such as wood, but had to avoid specific Northwest native designs from any particular tribe.

To show that the federation is about Alaska natives, the design features many photographs of native people sprinkled throughout the site.

Each section is color-coded, using bold, vivid colors. I designed the site, and David Fox produced it.  See the site.
